MENDIP DOG WALKING
& PET SERVICES

Welcome

Mendip Dog Walking is run by a local family business which provides your dog with full exercise in the fabulous Mendip area. Based in Churchill, our service currently covers an approximate 5 mile radius including Yatton, Congresbury, Blagdon, Churchill, Langford, Wrington, Cleeve, Banwell, Winscombe, Sandford, Shipham, and Claverham.

Your dog will be picked up from your home and taken for a terrific walk (on or off the lead depending on your preference) which is guaranteed to give them the time of their lives!

Standard Walks are for 45 mins (or we can agree a duration with yourself to suit your dog) - any travelling to and from the walk venue is excluded from this period so you can be assured your dog benefits to the full from their exercise time.

Our vehicle is equipped with cages and air conditioning and we are fully insured and security checked so your dog will be in very safe hands. We will also towel dry your dog and top up their water bowl upon their return.

Here's Andy's story:

Dogs have been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember and bring such joy and love to people’s lives. After 20 years working in a corporate environment, sat behind a desk, I finally plucked up the courage to turn my love of dogs into my own business, and so Mendip Dog Walking came into being in 2017.

Here are a few pictures of the dogs whose lives I have been lucky enough to share.

Major

That’s me in the boot with Major! An amazing Labrador, he came into our lives as a stray in 1975 after having been very badly mistreated. Despite this, his temperament was incredible and he was full of life and adored the family almost as much as he loved diving into the nearest available water!

Harvey

So intelligent he wore glasses (!), Harvey was a West Highland Terrier who had a very endearing personality. He was the opposite of Major in that he did not like water at all! Full of the normal Westie traits of liveliness, curiosity, spirit and robustness, he was a very dear family member.

Max & Toby

Max and Toby – AKA ‘the boys’. I had Max since he was a puppy and he was my constant companion and friend. Max was a Labrador cross whose love of food led to lots of incidents over the years! We had to make many kitchens ‘Max proof’ as seemingly he was capable of becoming Spiderman as soon as he thought the coast was clear. He had an amazing ability to make people laugh by waggling his eyebrows and being able to give them a high five and a high ten – he got away with murder because he was so lovable!

Toby, a dachshund cross, was a rescue dog who become inseparable from Max (as you can see!). Max’s partner in crime, Toby was a very loving dog, but because of his past, he required very responsible dog ownership when out of the house – so I am well versed in the needs of difficult dogs.

Raffi

A very new family member, Raffi is a cocker spaniel. She was 15 months old when she joined us, and her previous owner did a fantastic job with her because she is very obedient. She loves attention and is one of the most loving dogs I have ever met. She is proving very popular on our walks because she is so sweet, and she is excellent with other dogs. Raffi will play a key role in integrating your dog into our group should you decide to let your dog socialise through a group walk.

Helen

Helen is Andy's wife and currently helps out on weekends. Helen is of course a dog lover too having grown up with Sam (a wonderful dog of the  'Heinz 57' type!) and is the very proud mum of Raffi.
